Topps is the Master of the Football trading community. There are more followers / collectors to this brand than any other. Topps has been around for ages and have been the leaders, (First to incorporate the Insert set into its base product), and the followers, (Last to move from the cardboard stock; still used it in 1992), in the hobby world. However, one thing remains true: they give the collector what they want. Topps has given the collector many brands to chose from that might fit their needs or wants. Topps has its flagship title, Stadium Club, Topps Stars, Topps Gallery, Topps Finest, Topps Gold Label, and lets don't forget about the Chrome series. My favorite Topps series to come out in the last couple years has to be the Gallery brand. Topps Gallery is Crisp, Colorful and downright attractive, (See My Favorite Sets Page). The 1996 Topps Insert "40th Anniversary Retros" were also a strike of brilliance, (See the 1996 Topps 40th Anniversary Retro "Junior Seau" #20 below). The Chrome series, although NOT the first, (See my Wild Card page), was a remarkable addition to the Topps family. A simply stunning set with all the flair that the Chrome look brings, (See the 1997 Topps Chrome "Jake Plummer" #162 below). .Beautifully done Topps!!
